Specimen Book Project

#Specimenbookproject is an ongoing flood recovery volunteer experience at Community Make Space focused on restoring salvaged wood and metal type from the flood-damaged Working Journal Book Arts Workshop.

Participants help clean, sort, organize, catalog, and print rescued type and equipment while learning about letterpress, book arts, experimental printmaking, and material traditions in a warm, community-centered environment. No experience is necessary.

This free offering welcomes anyone interested in service, creative recovery, hands-on learning, and community connection.
