Pressed Flower Art w/ Susan McChesney

Pressed Flower Art w/ Susan McChesney

Experience a contemporary interpretation of Oshibana, the Japanese tradition of creating art with pressed plant material.  In this hands-on class, Susan will teach us the techniques and tricks of working with flowers: pressing and unpressing, layering, sealing, and storing.

Students will leave with their own original  5”x7” 2D collage, sealed with lamination, then matted and sleeved for safe keeping. Additional take-home materials include a pressing packet and storage sleeve, as well as resources and information for continued exploration--Hello blooming season!

All materials included.
Beginners encouraged.
